Shock Mount

In a car, a strut is a shock absorber that is integrated into a shock mount assembly together with the coil spring and top mount. The strut is attached to the vehicle’s body or frame via a top shock mount. The front top shock mounts are frequently visible beneath the hood of cars. They are also referred to as strut mounts.

Functions of shock mounts

They must first maintain the stability of the struts and lessen some of the shocks caused by road imperfections.

Second, some front strut mounts on cars contain strut mount bearings that enable the front wheel to rotate alongside it while turning left or right.
