2. Loud noises when you turn – You most likely have a fractured or worn CV joint if you turn the steering wheel and hear noises like popping or clicking.
3. Bouncy driving – If you’re on a flat, paved road and your car is still bouncing, you most likely have a bad CV joint.
4. Vibrations when driving – While you’re driving, a worn or damaged CV joint will rattle. In this situation, CV joints won’t be able to rotate with adequate balance. The vibrations will get more powerful as you accelerate.
5. Knocking sounds – A CV joint that is worn out from excessive use will make a knocking noise. A front-wheel drive car’s inner joint may be the source of this noise. It might originate from the outer or inner joints for rear-wheel drive. The differential gears are also capable of producing knocking noises.
