- Check Engine warning light is on
- A low Coolant warning light is on
- Engine is overheating
Keep in mind:
Firstly, your mechanic will drain the fluid, clean the system with coolant cleaner, and use water to remove the remaining coolant. Secondly and lastly, after cleaning the system, the mechanic will fill it up with new coolant. This process is effective and an approved industry method of flushing your vehicle’s cooling system.
How it’s done:
1. Install flush chemical to radiator
2. Bring the car to operating temperature
3. Drain the old coolant
4. Close valve and refill with water
5. Repeat the process
6. Fill radiator with a 50/50 mixture of coolant and water
7. Lastly, check for leaks and fan operation
